This new addition to BBTM is a collaborative activity that will take place in collaboration with the Bosnian Community Center for Resource Development, Inc. and other community cultural centers in the community. The Multicultural Nutcracker is an adaptation of The Duke Ellington Adaptation of the Nut Cracker with added song and spoken parts. The dance will be based on the Nutcracker dance and will be an educational adventure for those students participating from such countries as Somalia, Sudan, Bhutan, Nepal and Iraq, Iran and the Congo, all of whom receive services from the Bosnian Community Center for Resource Development to aid in resettlement locally. These students will perform alongside the most highly recognized cultures of this community, i.e., Asian, Hispanic, Anglo-Saxon, and African-American to showcase a true rainbow of holiday magic.
